AWS-RUNAS

This is a custom provided version of aws-runas adapted to accommodate Pearson-specific security policies implemented near-term. After October 14, 2022, you need to use this specific version of aws-runas to be able to authenticate to AWS.

New browser-based version

This version provides a browser-based login for chrome users that recognizes registered or managed Pearson devices. This is a beta-capable version not ready for wide release but suitable for interim testing with managed laptops. To use this version, you must make the following change in your ~/.aws/config:

Change saml_provider = azuread to saml_provider = browser

Darwin, Windows, and Linux

These are amd64 or Intel binaries unless otherwise indicated by the binary. M1 (arm) binaries are cross-compiled from Intel so may not work.

Installation

Download the binary you need one of these links.

shell chmod u+x <downloads folder>/aws-runas # on linux and mac, windows .exe should be ready to go
